In the Mariposa Grove (Sequoiadendron giganteum)
This book was made during autumn forays into the Upper Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias in Yosemite National Park. I used found twigs dipped in ink I made from burnt Giant Sequoia bark, and paint from Giant Sequoia sap.
ABOUT: Unique accordion-folding artist’s book of ten panels with imagery front and back, and matching endsheets, covers; folding case with magnetic closure.
MEDIA: Ink, pencil, sequoia bark charcoal and sap on Arches Text Wove paper. Covers, end sheets, and case of Cave paper.
