Birdsong

Near Loon Lake, in Alaska’s boreal forest
Birdsong is a series of unique artist’s books inspired by the birds I see and hear while painting outdoors. I don't always want to stop to look up from my work, so I am learning to identify birds by song. Very challenging. But, when I recognize a bird’s song echoing through the forest, it makes me glad, the way hearing the familiar voice of a friend does.
