Sambucus racemosa (Glow and Fade)
This book was painted during early fall in Northern California and Oregon coastal forests. Sambucus racemosa is the scientific name for Red Elderberry, a shrub common in west coast forests from California to Alaska. It has an especially graceful growth pattern.
